QUALITY LEAD – BULK COMMODITIES (OGP / VALUE ADDED)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Quality Systems & Process Establishment
• Design and implement end to end quality management systems across bulk commodities operations.
• Establish SOPs, control plans, and governance mechanisms aligned with MNC best practices.
• Drive standardisation and institutionalisation of quality processes across locations.
2. Value Added OGP Quality Improvement
• Lead quality improvement initiatives focused on value added OGP products.
• Identify process gaps impacting product quality, consistency, and customer acceptance.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and reduce defects, rejections, and wastage.
3. Food Safety & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee implementation of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, hygiene standards, traceability).
• Support external and internal audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
4. Supplier & Sourcing Quality
• Define quality standards for raw material sourcing across oils, grains, and pulses.
• Work closely with sourcing and procurement teams to strengthen supplier quality management.
• Drive vendor audits, quality capability building, and corrective action plans.
5. Customer & Stakeholder Interface
• Act as the quality interface with key customers for specifications, quality standards, and issue resolution.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across procurement, operations, supply chain, and sales to embed quality ownership.
6. Data, Metrics & Reporting
• Define quality KPIs, dashboards, and review mechanisms.
• Use data-driven insights to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
7. Capability Building & Culture
• Build a strong quality culture across the Bulk Commodities business.
• Train operations and commercial teams on quality standards, processes, and expectations.
• Mentor and develop quality team members (if applicable).
