Job Title: Microbiologist – Quality Control (QC)

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Microbiologist to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and quality assurance within food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments. The role requires adherence to regulatory standards, accurate documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
Conduct environmental monitoring, including air sampling, surface swab testing, and water analysis.
Prepare, sterilize, and maintain microbiological media and laboratory reagents.
Perform sterility testing, microbial limit tests, and pathogen detection according to approved procedures.
Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain laboratory documentation, test records, logbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support internal and external quality audits and regulatory inspections.
Participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations and implementation.
Calibrate, maintain, and verify laboratory equipment to ensure reliable test results.
Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
Master\'s Degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology or related Life Sciences.
2 to 5 years of experience in microbiology laboratories within the food, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry.
Practical knowledge of microbiological testing methods and laboratory practices.
Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP, FSSAI, and ISO standards.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
