Job Description
• Designing and implementing procurement strategy to product delivery which include milk procurement, product costing and commercialization, supply chain management as well as vendor development in order to drive efficiencies.
• Development of Cold Chain Infrastructure and Farmer Network for efficient sourcing of raw milk.
• Design and Execution of Farmer Connect Programmes by driving awareness and better practices in order to improve yields.
• Design, implement and execute effective transactional procurement polices ensuring that required goods and services are delivered on time at agreed cost.
• Influence stakeholders and lead change to improve ways of working across multiple geographies such that procurement practices are in line with or ahead of industry benchmarks for the company.
• Leverage technology to support process improvements, supply chain, driving awareness, robust data collection/maintenance to drive efficiencies.
• Identifying development requirements of team and creating appropriate learning and development plans to address needs.
Interface with Internal / External Organisation
• Interface with the Foods Division in the State.
• Interface with all external stakeholders and vendors associated with the Dairy Business.
Performance analysis & feedback
• Highlight various deviations in performance through active monitoring of performance indicators vis-à-vis sanctioned plan figures, reasons for the gap, provide feedback on performance improvement and follow up on the suggestions given for its improvement
Capability Building
• Identifying development requirements of team and creating appropriate learning and development plans to address needs.

• Ensure all Procurement & Costs related Data and Reports as required by Business and to be sent with specified timelines.
Market Research / Intelligence
• Develop a system in conjunction with the Operations Manager that ensures that the Business keeps track of competition and their activities.
• Develop a system to track production scenarios on ongoing basis for accurate forecasting of milk procurement.
Procurement and Supply Chain Management
• Develop and maintain robust system of milk collection, quality assurance and delivery plan in accordance with Business requirements.
• Ensure other costs of procurement apart from procurement price are monitored with fixed periodicity and controlled to remain with the sanctioned limits / budgets/Industry Benchmarks.
• Develop a system that maintains proper records, accounts of milk dispatched and received at destination, transition losses, cost of transportation and chilling, variation of cost from budgets and to provide an audit trail to the entire process
Customer Relationship Management
• Identify stakeholders needs and building strategic and tactical measures to ensure stakeholders satisfaction
• Improvise and execute innovative sourcing strategy customized to needs of various customers
Required Skills
• Strong knowledge of Dairy Business and Livestock Management. Highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. • Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of backgrounds.
