Agri Advisor

About the Role
Animal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for passionate and knowledgeable Agri Experts to provide technical agricultural advisory and support to farmers across India. The ideal candidate should possess strong agronomic knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to diagnose crop-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Candidates proficient in one or more regional languages are highly preferred, as the role involves interacting with farmers from different states.

Key Responsibilities
1. Provide technical advisory to farmers on crop production, crop protection, and best agricultural practices through calls or digital platforms.
2. Diagnose crop-related issues and recommend appropriate solutions for pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and weed management.
3. Guide farmers on the safe and effective use of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other crop protection products.
4. Advise farmers on soil health, nutrient management, irrigation practices, and crop-specific recommendations.
5. Identify bacterial, fungal, viral, and insect-related crop problems and suggest preventive and corrective measures.
6. Maintain accurate records of farmer interactions in CRM or internal systems.
7. Stay updated on seasonal crop practices, emerging agricultural technologies, and government agricultural initiatives.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve farmer experience and service quality.

Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor\'s Degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture) – Mandatory.
2. Master\'s Degree in Agriculture (Preferred).

Experience
1. 6 months–5 years of experience in Agri Advisory, AgriTech, Agri Inputs, Farmer Advisory, Crop Protection, Agricultural Extension, or relevant field exposure.
2. Freshers with strong practical agricultural knowledge will be considered.

Technical Knowledge Required
Candidates should have sound knowledge of:
1. Crop cultivation and agronomy
2. Herbicides and weed management
3. Pesticides, insecticides, fungicides, and crop protection products
4. Fertilizers, plant nutrition, and soil fertility management
5. Soil health and nutrient deficiency diagnosis
6. Crop disease diagnosis and management
7. Bacterial, fungal, viral, and insect pest identification
8. Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
9. Integrated Nutrient Management (INM)
10. Good Agricultural Practices (GAP)
11. Crop-specific advisory and seasonal farming practices

Preferred Profile
1. Experience interacting directly with farmers through field visits, call centers, advisory services, or digital platforms.
2. Practical exposure to diagnosing crop issues and recommending crop protection solutions.
3. Knowledge of government agriculture schemes and extension activities.
4. Strong customer-centric approach with the ability to build trust with farmers.
