Job Description
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
• Support installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical systems within the processing facility.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting of electrical, control, and instrumentation faults in production and utility equipment.
• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment reliability.
• Configure and optimize machine parameters and process settings in line with product specifications and production requirements.
• Interpret and maintain updated electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, P&ID drawings, and equipment technical documentation.
• Provide on-site technical supervision and guidance to contractor/service personnel for safe and efficient operation of electromechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, ISO standards, and plant safety protocols during maintenance and production activities.
• Participate in internal/external audits, customer inspections, and plant visits; ensure readiness and technical compliance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies (PM schedules, condition monitoring) to enhance asset lifecycle and reduce failures.
• Monitor and optimize energy consumption, implementing corrective actions to minimize electrical losses and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate and execute shift maintenance activities, ensuring uninterrupted production operations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and electrical safety standards applicable to processing facilities.
• Maintain technical knowledge of modern automation systems, food processing equipment, and utility machinery.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of plant utilities, including:
• Boilers
• Chillers
• Air Compressors
• Diesel Generators (DG Sets)
VENDOR & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
• Coordinate with vendors for AMC services, repairs, calibration, and spare procurement.
• Conduct regular technical review meetings with service providers to ensure service quality and SLA adherence.
• Manage procurement and technical evaluation of spares, electrical components, and automation systems.
• Ensure effective communication with internal teams and external stakeholders during maintenance planning and execution.
EDUCATIONAL
QUALIFICATIONS B.E/B. Tech (Elec)
AGE & EXPERIENCE 25-30 years; Minimum 8 -10 years in electrical maintenance in food processing/FMCG/Beverage industry
COMPETENCIES Technical
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and their application in industrial processing environments
• Knowledge of machine design, functionality, installation, and maintenance practices for production and utility equipment
• Ability to interpret and optimize plant layouts, machine layouts, and process flow systems
• Hands-on expertise in plant maintenance (preventive, predictive, and breakdown) with a focus on reliability engineering
Required Skills
o Valid 33 kV Electrical Supervisor/Competency License o Proven hands-on experience in electrical
mechanical
and instrumentation maintenance
