Government Schemes & Policy Associate

About the Role
We are looking for a smart, articulate and research-oriented candidate to work on government schemes, public policy and government/NGO stakeholder coordination.
The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of Central & State Government schemes, strong communication skills, and an interest in agriculture, dairy, rural development and public policy.

Key Responsibilities
Research and track Central & State Government schemes, subsidies and policies related to agriculture, dairy, animal husbandry, livestock and rural development.
Understand scheme eligibility, benefits, documentation and implementation processes.
Monitor government notifications, policy updates and new programs.
Prepare simple and actionable scheme summaries, research notes and presentations.
Identify relevant government departments, NGOs and development organizations.
Support communication and coordination with government/NGO stakeholders.
Maintain an updated database of government schemes, policies and relevant stakeholders.
Identify government programs and collaboration opportunities relevant to Animall and dairy farmers.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in: Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Rural Development, Development Studies, Economics, Agriculture / Agricultural Economics, Sociology / Social Sciences Or a related field.
0–1 year of experience in government schemes, policy research, public administration, rural development, NGO/social-sector work or a related area.

Preferred Knowledge
Strong knowledge of Government Schemes & Subsidies
Good understanding of government/public policy ecosystem
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong research and analytical skills
Smart, proactive and quick learner
Good stakeholder coordination skills
Comfortable reading government notifications and official documents
NGO, Government, Public Policy or Social Impact internship/experience is a plus
Good knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace.

Language Requirement:
Proficiency in at least one South Indian regional language is required.
Preferred languages: Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi.
Candidates with Hindi and English along with one South Indian regional language will be preferred.
Strong communication skills in the regional language are essential for interacting with farmers, government/NGO stakeholders and local teams.
