**About the Role**
The Crop Development Coordinator will lead the implementation of horticultural best‑practice packages for tomato and other fruit & vegetable crops across the Kuppam region. You will work closely with farmers, FPOs, and contract partners to drive adoption of proven agronomic practices, facilitate field trials, and support contract farming and buy‑back models that enhance productivity and profitability.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, execute, and monitor Crop Development Packages of Practices (PoP) for tomato and other horticultural crops, ensuring alignment with regional agronomic guidelines.
- Mobilize and engage smallholder farmers and FPO members through training sessions, field demonstrations, and on‑farm advisory visits.
- Coordinate contract farming and buy‑back arrangements, acting as the primary liaison between growers, processors, and Agri Division’s supply chain.
- Plan and manage field trials and crop demonstration plots, collecting data to evaluate performance and refine recommendations.
- Prepare regular progress reports, performance dashboards, and impact assessments for senior management and external stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Agricultural Science or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in horticultural crop management, preferably with tomatoes and other F&V.
- Demonstrated ability to work with farmer groups, FPOs, and contract farming models; strong facilitation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting tools; fluency in English and Telugu.
