About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Associate or Procurement Manager to join our team at FarMart, a leading player in the agriculture industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring high-quality maize, wheat, paddy, and other regional crops from farmers and suppliers, Aggregator, Mandi\'s ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve business objectives, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
* Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, Aggregator, Mandi\'s and other stakeholders to secure the best possible prices and quality of crops
* Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about market trends, prices, and availability of crops
* Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring that all terms and conditions are favorable to the company
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics and operations, to ensure seamless delivery of procured crops to customers
Requirements
* 2-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or buying, preferably in the agriculture industry
* Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations, with expertise in maize, wheat, paddy, and other regional crops
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and other stakeholders
* Bachelor\'s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong academic record
